Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience in healthcare housekeeping or environmental services preferred
Job Duties
- Sweeps, damp mops, and wet mops tile floors
- May occasionally spray buff, strip or wax floors following center procedures
- Vacuums carpeted rooms as applicable
- Empties and cleans trash cans and replaces liners
- Cleans bathroom sinks, fixtures, and toilets following center procedures
- Cleans glass surfaces including mirrors, pictures, and windows
- Cleans behind and underneath furnishings
- Follows infection control standards during cleaning
- Removes wax and dirt buildup in corners, baseboards, and doorways
- Changes and re-hangs soiled privacy curtains and draperies
- Dusts and damp cleans surfaces in patient and resident rooms
- Moves furniture to clean underneath and behind
- Turns bed mattresses after cleaning
