Job Requirements

- Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks, including use of ladders
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Ability to stand, bend, lift, and move items as needed
- Reliable and punctual
- Ability to work flexible hours if required

- Previous experience with healthcare housekeeping or environmental services preferred
- Ability to follow detailed cleaning procedures
- Knowledge of infection control standards
- Physical ability to lift and move furniture

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Job Duties
- Sweeps, damp mops, and wet mops tile floors
- May occasionally spray buff, strip or wax floors, following center procedures, including the use of wet floor signs
- Vacuums carpeted rooms as applicable
- Empties trash cans, cleans interior and exterior, and replaces with a clean liner
- Cleans bathroom sinks, fixtures, and toilets, following center procedures
- Cleans glass surfaces such as mirrors, pictures, and windows
- Cleans behind and underneath furnishings
- Follows infection control standards while performing cleaning
- Prevents and removes wax and dirt buildup in corners, around baseboards, and doorways
- Changes soiled privacy curtains and draperies for the outside windows as needed
- Removes and re-hangs curtains and draperies for outside windows, using a ladder
- Dusts and damp cleans surfaces in patient and resident rooms including furniture, bed frames, and windowsills, following center procedure, including the use of wet floor signs
- Moves furniture to clean behind and underneath according to center procedures
- Turns bed mattresses after cleaning
