Job Requirements

High school diploma or GED
Experience working in a long term care facility preferred
Ability to read and understand procedure and instruction manuals and directions
Basic math skills
Ability to solve practical problems
Ability to interpret written, oral or diagram instructions
Fluent in written and spoken English
Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
Ability to sit, kneel, stand, walk, talk, read or hear regularly
Use office related equipment including copier, scanner, fax, telephone, calculator
Able to safely use housekeeping supplies and equipment
Maintain a positive attitude and excellent customer skills
Good time management skills
Ability to work independently or with a team

Job Qualifications

High school diploma or GED
Experience working in a long term care facility preferred
Ability to read and understand procedure and instruction manuals and directions
Basic math skills of addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables
Ability to interpret instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
Fluent in written and spoken English

Job Duties

Maintain all public and common areas throughout the day including lobby, restrooms, drinking fountains and floors
Maintain the cleanliness of resident rooms and bathrooms
Maintain handrails to ensure they are clean and free of debris
Clean and remove dust, dirt or food off walls, mirrors, windows, light fixtures, towel bars, towel dispensers
Empty trash cans and replace liners
Sweep and mop floors
Utilize proper safety measures when cleaning, including the use of caution signage and keeping supplies and chemicals out of reach of the residents
