Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Previous housekeeping experience in healthcare or long-term care setting is a plus
Ability to follow safety protocols and instructions
Capability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 25 lbs
Ability to perform repetitive motions such as sweeping, mopping, and wiping surfaces
Ability to work in fast-paced environments and respond quickly to needs
Good communication skills

Job Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Previous housekeeping experience in healthcare or long-term care setting is a plus
Ability to follow instructions and safety guidelines
Strong attention to detail and cleanliness
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to read and understand procedure and instruction manuals and directions
Basic math skills of addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations with limited standardization
Ability to interpret instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form

Job Duties

Clean and maintain public and common areas including lobbies, restrooms, drinking fountains, and floors
Ensure resident rooms and bathrooms are cleaned and sanitized regularly
Wipe down handrails to keep them free of dust and debris
Remove dirt, dust, and food from walls, mirrors, windows, light fixtures, towel bars, and dispensers
Empty trash cans and replace liners as needed
Sweep and mop floors throughout the facility
Follow safety protocols, including using caution signage and storing chemicals securely
