Job Requirements
- high school diploma or GED
- experience working in a long term care facility preferred
- ability to read and understand procedure and instruction manuals and directions
- basic math skills
- ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables
- ability to interpret a variety of instructions in different forms
- fluent in written and spoken English
- ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
- ability to sit, kneel, stand, walk and talk
- ability to use office related equipment and housekeeping supplies and equipment safely
Job Qualifications

- basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
- ability to solve practical problems and deal with various concrete variables
- ability to interpret instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form

Job Duties
- Maintain all public and common areas including lobby, restrooms, drinking fountains and floors throughout the day
- maintain cleanliness of resident rooms and bathrooms
- clean and maintain handrails to ensure they are free of debris
- dust and clean walls, mirrors, windows, light fixtures, towel bars and dispensers
- empty trash cans and replace liners
- sweep and mop floors
- utilize proper safety measures including caution signage and safe use of supplies and chemicals
- maintain housekeeping carts, equipment and storage areas in safe, sanitary and orderly manner
- notify Director of Housekeeping or Nursing regarding resident safety issues
- notify Director of Housekeeping when supplies require replenishment
