Job Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Ability to stand, bend, walk, and perform physical cleaning tasks for extended periods
- Background check clearance
- Ability to follow safety procedures and use cleaning chemicals properly
- Reliable transportation to and from work
- Ability to work full-time hours
- Ability to interact kindly with residents and staff
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professionalism
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience in housekeeping or janitorial roles preferred
- Ability to use cleaning chemicals and equipment safely
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent organizational skills

- Good communication and customer service skills
- Reliable and punctual with a professional demeanor
Job Duties
- Performs routine and specialized cleaning to maintain a clean, safe and sanitary environment
- Takes appropriate and approved actions to correct areas not meeting defined standards
- Cleans, sanitizes and disinfects surfaces using approved cleaning agents
- Empties wastebaskets, cleans and re-lines receptacles, transports trash to disposal areas
- Dusts, wipes and polishes furniture and surfaces including high dusting and window treatments
- Cleans and polishes glass, windows, and mirrors
- Makes beds according to standard procedure
- Sweeps, mops and/or scrubs floors using various cleaning tools
- Cleans carpets, rugs, upholstered furniture and draperies
- Washes windows, walls, ceilings, and woodwork
- Utilizes only approved cleaning agents and equipment
- Provides excellent customer service to residents, clients, and staff
- Moves and arranges furniture as needed
- Removes and re-hangs cubicle curtains if required
- Participates in product evaluation
- Replenishes supplies when applicable
- Maintains Environmental Services closets and housekeeping carts stocked and tidy
- Maintains age-specific safety precautions appropriate for elderly residents
