Job Duties
- Cleans and services all areas and surfaces of the community including rooms, apartments, offices, bathrooms, corridors, and public areas
- cleaning, scrubbing, wet and dry mopping, vacuuming and dusting of floors, windows, radiators, equipment, toilets, sinks, mirrors, doors, appliances, walls, tile areas, and all vertical and horizontal surfaces, furniture, fixtures, and equipment
- empties trash baskets and disposes of trash in the dumpster on a daily basis
- involved in special cleaning projects and other duties as assigned
- demonstrate consistency in producing a clean, quality "product" or work area daily
- use cleaning chemicals and compounds in a safe manner in which they were designed to be used
- keep cart and supply caddy neat and clean at all times
- follow safety data sheets (SDS), hazard communication standards, and right-to-know law
- must practice and assume responsibility for self-safety and safety of your immediate work environment, including other staff and residents
- ability to follow fire safety drills and be familiar with fire and evacuation procedures for the department, and self in own work area
- communicate to supervisor and/or director any challenges, ideas or suggestions
- attend community sponsored in-services and trainings
- other duties as assigned
