Job Requirements
- Must exhibit the ability to follow oral and written instructions

- Must be able to use the proper tracking and communication tools utilized by department
- Must be able to work independently
- Physical demands required for this role include lift/carry up to 50 pounds and a push/pull force up to 50 pounds
Job Qualifications

- Must be able to work independently
- One to three years of environmental services experience in a healthcare or hospitality environment is preferred
Job Duties
- Cleans and maintains patient rooms, offices, public areas, treatment rooms, and other assigned areas daily, including collecting and removing trash, changing bed linens, and sanitizing all surfaces
- Follows policies and procedures on patient isolation and contact precautions as necessary
- Stocks paper items and other supplies in assigned areas as necessary or designated
- Maintains cart and equipment in clean, working condition and stores in appropriate storage area
- Promotes safety in the workplace by using wet floor signs, PPE, and not leaving housekeeping cart or supplies unattended
- Uses chemicals and equipment in an effective and safe manner with proper dilution and labeling
- Notifies supervisor of equipment needing repairs and reports all safety hazards to manager
- Communicates any issues proactively to supervisor including schedule completion and observed deficiencies
- Establishes and maintains interpersonal relationships with hospital personnel while ensuring confidentiality of patient information
- Provides accurate information and timely updates to patients and customers, addressing questions and concerns promptly
- Demonstrates teamwork by helping coworkers within and across departments and communicates effectively with respect for diverse opinions
- Manages work schedule efficiently to complete tasks and assignments on time
- Contributes to opportunities and processes for continuous improvement
- Uses effective service recovery skills to solve problems or service breakdowns
- Presents a friendly, approachable, professional demeanor and appearance
