Job Requirements
- Must interact and demonstrate compassion and caring toward seniors
- must demonstrate exemplary work ethics
- must be at least 18 years of age
- must be able to lift, carry, push and pull 50 pounds
- must be able to move about the facility quickly and be able to physically assist residents and or staff in event of emergency
- must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English for safety reasons and make proper, clear, and compassionate communication with residents, families, co-workers, etc
- must have the ability to work rotating shifts as needed and to work at times, days or positions other than those scheduled
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- prior housekeeping experience in healthcare, hospitality, or residential care preferred
- ability to communicate effectively in English
- demonstrated compassion and caring attitude toward seniors
- strong work ethic
- ability to work rotating shifts and flexible schedules
Job Duties
- Thoroughly clean each resident apartment once a week as scheduled
- clean other community areas routinely or as needed
- vacuum, dust, and remove resident trash using company techniques and quality standards
- engage with residents by greeting and conversing to make a positive impression
- assist in maintaining a safe environment for residents and staff
- perform additional housekeeping tasks as requested by supervisors or executive director
- support emergency assistance when necessary
