- Ability to work independently
- One to three years of environmental services experience in healthcare or hospitality preferred
Job Duties
- Clean and maintain patient rooms, offices, public areas, and treatment rooms daily
- Collect and remove trash, change bed linens, and sanitize all surfaces
- Follow policies and procedures on patient isolation and contact precautions
- Stock paper items and other supplies in assigned areas as needed
- Maintain cart and equipment in clean, working condition and store appropriately
- Promote safety by using wet floor signs, PPE, and securing housekeeping carts
- Use chemicals and equipment safely and effectively, including proper dilution and labeling
- Notify supervisor of equipment repairs and report safety hazards
- Communicate issues proactively and report work requests
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information while establishing interpersonal relationships
- Use service scripting models effectively with customers
- Utilize organizational and departmental resources efficiently
- Manage work schedule and complete tasks on time
- Contribute to continuous improvement and cost reduction efforts
- Present a friendly, professional demeanor
- Provide accurate information and assist patients and customers
- Use service recovery skills to resolve problems
- Demonstrate teamwork and effective communication with diverse colleagues
