Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Knowledge of safe and effective housekeeping practices
- Ability to work as a team player
- Ability to follow safety procedures
- Good communication skills
- Ability to report unsafe conditions promptly
- Ability to respect residents' rights
Job Qualifications
- Housekeeper must have a thorough understanding of the principles of safe effective housekeeping practices within the state of employment
- Have the ability to be a team player to partner with other departments
- A high school diploma or GED is preferred, but not required
Job Duties
- Maintain cleaning schedules for assigned area
- Coordinate routine and terminal isolation procedures with nursing services
- Maintain knowledge of safety regulations, policies and procedures and follow established safety procedures and precautions
- Report all unsafe or hazardous conditions, defective equipment, etc. to supervisor immediately
- Honor the residents' personal and property rights
- File complaints or grievances with supervisor in a timely fashion
