Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred but not required
- thorough understanding of safe effective housekeeping practices
- ability to work well in a team environment
- willingness to adhere to all safety regulations and procedures
- good communication skills to report unsafe conditions and file grievances
- commitment to respecting residents’ personal and property rights
- availability to work full-time hours from 9 am to 5 pm
Job Qualifications
- Thorough understanding of the principles of safe effective housekeeping practices within the State of employment
- ability to be a team player to partner with other departments
- high school diploma or GED preferred but not required
Job Duties
- Provide a full range of housekeeping services to maintain the grounds, furnishings, equipment and facility
- maintain cleaning schedules for assigned area
- coordinate routine and terminal isolation procedures with Nursing Services
- maintain knowledge of safety regulations, policies and procedures and follow established safety procedures and precautions
- report all unsafe or hazardous conditions, defective equipment, etc. to supervisor immediately
- honor the residents’ personal and property rights
- file complaints or grievances with supervisor in a timely fashion
