Job Requirements

  • high school graduate or equivalent preferred
  • prior experience in cleaning or janitorial work preferred
  • ability to operate cleaning machines and use cleaning chemicals safely
  • physical ability to perform heavy work including lifting, bending, stooping and prolonged walking and standing
  • availability to work day shifts including weekends and holidays
  • ability to follow safety protocols and procedures
  • willingness to work overtime and rotating schedules if required

Job Qualifications

  • knowledge of cleaning supplies and chemicals
  • commitment to safety and regulatory compliance
  • ability to perform physically demanding tasks

Job Duties

  • perform all cleaning functions in assigned areas to maintain sanitary conditions
  • operate various cleaning equipment including automatic floor machines, burnishers, scrubbers and carpet cleaning equipment
  • utilize cleaning supplies and chemicals safely and effectively
  • assist in achieving overall division and hospital goals by performing other duties as assigned
  • ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards
  • participate in orientation and continuing education to maintain skills
  • work flexible shifts including weekends, holidays, overtime and rotating schedules
