Job Requirements
- Some high school education
- Housekeeping and general maintenance experience
- Ability to communicate effectively in English verbally and in writing
- Dependability and common sense
- Ability to organize daily cleaning schedule and complete assignments
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Willingness to work weekends as needed
- Interest in working with older adults

- Housekeeping experience
- General maintenance experience
- Effective verbal and written communication in English
- Ability to follow instructions and work with limited supervision
- Organizational skills to manage daily cleaning assignments

Job Duties
- Perform cleaning functions in assigned areas following established schedule and using departmental standards and infection control guidelines
- Complete minor maintenance including light bulbs, plunge toilets and change batteries as needed
- Perform cleaning tasks in assigned areas inside and outside according to department standards
- Maintain floors by sweeping, mopping, stripping, scrubbing, waxing, vacuuming, extraction, hosting, and buffing as scheduled or assigned
- Assist in cleaning emergency spills
- Perform project cleaning including walls, ceilings, vents, light fixtures, windows
- Remove trash and recyclables from collection points and public areas, replace trash liners
- Deep clean rooms or units during transfers or discharges
- Move furniture and assist in resident moves
- Participate in campus linen program including distributing, collecting, counting and preparing linen
- Make beds in guest rooms or residences
- Maintain cleaning equipment and report repairs needed
- Report facility, furniture and fixture repair needs
- Participate in receiving and putting away campus supplies
- Participate in campus snow and ice salting as needed
