Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Experience working in a long term care facility preferred
- Fluent in written and spoken English
- Ability to read and understand procedure and instruction manuals and directions
- Basic math skills
- Ability to solve practical problems and interpret instructions
- Physical ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
- Ability to sit, kneel, stand, walk, talk, read and hear during work
- Use of housekeeping supplies and equipment
- Ability to follow safety protocols and use caution signage appropriately
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Experience working in a long term care facility preferred
- Fluent in written and spoken English
- Ability to read and understand procedure and instruction manuals and directions
- Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables
- Ability to interpret instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
Job Duties
- Maintain all public and common areas throughout the day including lobby, restrooms, drinking fountains and floors
- Maintain the cleanliness of resident rooms and bathrooms
- Maintain handrails to ensure they are clean and free of debris
- Clean and remove dust, dirt or food off walls, mirrors, windows, light fixtures, towel bars, towel dispensers
- Empty trash cans and replace liners
- Sweep and mop floors
- Utilize proper safety measures when cleaning, including the use of caution signage and keeping supplies and chemicals out of reach of the residents
- Maintain housekeeping carts, equipment and storage areas in a safe, sanitary, clean and orderly manner
- Notify management regarding resident safety issues or concerns
- Notify housekeeping management when supplies need replenishment
