Job Requirements

  • must possess a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent
  • must meet the assisted living requirements for criminal history screening
  • must have sincere interest in providing quality and innovative care for seniors
  • ability to understand the policies and procedures of the community including emergency plans
  • follow mandatory reporting requirements and resident rights
  • ability to work as part of a team
  • ability to maintain confidentiality
  • state-specific requirements for certificates and licenses

Job Qualifications

  • must possess a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent
  • previous housekeeping experience in a similar or hospitality environment preferred
  • familiarity with various cleaning agents and tools and their appropriate use
  • familiarity with SDS safety data sheet
  • understanding of health standards and protocols to maintain a sanitary environment
  • knowledge of safety guidelines and procedures especially regarding the handling of cleaning chemicals and equipment
  • ability to notice and address small issues before they escalate ensuring rooms and facilities are thoroughly cleaned
  • skills to efficiently manage cleaning schedules while being flexible to respond to immediate needs
  • ability to adapt to different tasks and needs of residents
  • capable of interacting positively with residents understanding and respecting their needs for privacy and comfort
  • ability to identify and resolve issues related to cleanliness or maintenance without extensive supervision

Job Duties

  • clean rooms by dusting vacuuming and mopping
  • sanitize toilets showers and sinks
  • clean and organize common shared spaces such as lounges and dining areas
  • laundry services such as washing drying and folding residents clothes and linens
  • remove trash and recycling from rooms and common areas
  • ensure adequate supplies of toiletries paper products and other essentials are properly stocked
  • help to maintain a safe environment by reporting any potential hazards and cleaning up any spills that may put a resident or employee at risk
