Job Requirements
- 1-2 years of experience as a housekeeper
- Previous experience in long-term care is a plus
- Must pass a physical exam
- Must pass a drug screen
- Must pass a 50-pound lift test
- Must pass fingerprinting for criminal background
- Must successfully complete a reference check
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- 1-2 years of housekeeping experience
- Previous experience in long-term care is a plus
- Ability to follow detailed cleaning procedures and safety protocols
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Job Duties
- Clean furnishings, fixtures, ledges, room heating/cooling units in resident rooms and recreational areas weekly
- Clean, wash, sanitize, and/or polish bathroom fixtures ensuring watermarks are removed
- Clean windows and mirrors in resident rooms, recreational areas, bathrooms, and entrance/exit ways
- Clean floors including sweeping, dusting, damp/wet mopping, and disinfecting while setting up appropriate safety signs
- Clean carpets including vacuuming
- Clean walls and ceilings by washing, wiping, dusting, spot cleaning, disinfecting, and deodorizing
- Remove dirt, dust, grease, and film from surfaces using proper cleaning and disinfecting solutions
- Discard waste/trash into proper containers and reline trash receptacles
- Ensure work areas and equipment are clean and properly stored at all times before breaks, meal times, and end of the workday
