Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or GED
  • housekeeping experience highly desired
  • ability to understand verbal and written instructions
  • ability to complete assignments thoroughly and on time
  • ability to work well with others as part of a team
  • polite and courteous to all residents, visitors, co-workers and management team
  • must be able to stand, walk, kneel, bend, grasp, push and pull for extended periods of time
  • must be able to lift 25 lbs and carry heavy objects for up to 20 feet
  • must wear designated uniform during work hours and maintain good personal hygiene
  • must be willing to work a flexible schedule that includes weekends and holidays

Job Duties

  • clean common living areas and resident apartments
  • oversee cleaning of entire facility with emphasis on common areas and apartment bathrooms
  • complete maintenance request reports
  • report deterioration or damage to housekeeping supervisor
  • operate laundry equipment
  • report inadequate supplies to housekeeping supervisor
  • use approved cleaning products and store supplies properly
  • clean office areas when assigned
  • dust and clean window blinds and furniture
  • vacuum common areas and resident apartments
  • keep common area and resident bathrooms clean
  • clean apartments at resident move-out
  • attend in-services and staff meetings
  • maintain resident privacy and confidentiality
  • follow policies on release of resident information
  • perform other duties as assigned
