Job Duties
- Performs general cleaning and sanitizing tasks and services throughout the facility
- uses cleaning cart to transport cleaning supplies
- cleans and disinfects resident rooms and bathrooms
- cleans and disinfects kitchen and dining areas
- wipes and dusts surfaces in rooms and cleans mirrors
- vacuums and cleans floors, rugs, furniture, and drapes
- removes linens, towels, bedspreads, and blankets
- places and neatly tucks clean sheets and blankets on beds and replaces pillowcases
- stocks towels, washcloths, and hand towels in bathrooms
- picks up and empties trash containers
- checks room for food articles and remove unauthorized items (report and turn in items found)
- maintains floors safe and clear of obstructions (residents' belongings, supplies/equipment, etc.)
- loads washers and dryers and folds sheets and towels in laundry room as needed
- uses housekeeping supplies efficiently
- assists in proper care of housekeeping equipment
- identify and report any equipment malfunction to supervisor
- notifies maintenance if something is not working properly
- performs other duties as assigned
