Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- one year related experience or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
- ability to stand, walk, use hands, reach with hands and arms, talk or hear regularly
- frequent stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling
- occasional climbing or balancing
- ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds occasionally
- willingness to work during emergencies and inclement weather
- ability to follow established procedures
- reliable attendance and punctuality
- compliance with safety standards and policies
- ability to maintain confidentiality according to HIPAA
- willingness to engage in training and team activities
Job Qualifications
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos

Job Duties
- Follows established cleaning schedule
- completes daily dusting, vacuuming, sweeping and mopping of all common areas
- follows established schedule for deep cleaning of resident rooms
- cleans administrative offices as scheduled
- cleans and sanitizes bathrooms
- cleans carpets and mops all floors upon request
- maintains a clean, safe, and orderly environment for all residents
- ensures and supports a dignified and caring atmosphere for residents, families, visitors, and associates
- responds promptly and courteously to residents, families, and visitors requests for assistance
- speaks to and interacts with residents showing empathy, kindness, compassion, and respect
- communicates effectively in a language that each resident understands
- maintains a safe and secure working environment free of hazards
- practices good body mechanics and safe working habits
- observes and reports safety hazards immediately to supervisor
- provides assistance to associates when requested
- knows and follows established emergency policies and procedures
- is considered essential personnel during emergencies and inclement weather
- works as a team player with other associates and management
- demonstrates a positive and respectful attitude about work issues, policies, and procedures
- complies with attendance and call off policy
- attends and participates in trainings, in-service, and mandatory meetings
- wears clean and appropriate dress per dress code policy
- refrains from discussing resident issues with families and visitors
- knows, understands, and complies with HIPAA regulations
- provides hands-on assistance when requested by nursing staff
- participates in leisure activities provided to residents
- serves and assists residents in the dining room during meals
- takes on special projects or assignments outside regular duties
- performs all other reasonable duties as assigned or requested
