Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • must pass State of Maine criminal background and driving record checks
  • prior cleaning or housekeeping experience a plus

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • prior cleaning or housekeeping experience a plus
  • ability to lift up to 40 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation
  • strong attention to detail cleanliness and organization
  • ability to follow and complete task lists daily
  • basic knowledge of household cleaning products and their use
  • good communication skills

Job Duties

  • preparing bedrooms for new admissions including dressing beds with clean sheets and comforter vacuuming carpets cleaning all hard surfaces ensuring rooms have proper accommodations such as alarm clock sound machine fan and hamper
  • vacuuming hallway and common area carpets
  • assisting kitchen with washing drying and putting away dishes
  • tidying dining area after meals including wiping tables and chairs pushing in chairs sweeping and mopping floor emptying trash
  • keeping housekeeping cart organized and stocked
  • deep cleaning bathrooms including mopping floors cleaning countertops wiping mirrors and fixtures sanitizing shower stalls stocking towels taking out trash
  • maintaining cleanliness and presentation of day rooms including removing dishes and trash folding and putting away blankets straightening pillows sanitizing hard surfaces
  • assisting medical staff with laundry
  • maintaining professional boundaries with clients and interacting appropriately
  • assisting medical or kitchen staff with related tasks
