Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Minimum of 6 months related experience required
- 1 to 2 years floor care experience preferred
- At least 1 year experience in a lead role preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities
- Flexibility in work assignments
- Capability to safely work around housekeeping chemicals

Job Duties
- Empty clean and reline trash containers
- Properly dispose of all waste including biohazardous materials
- High dust surfaces above shoulder height
- Sanitize and spot clean
- Clean restrooms restocking dispensers
- Dust hard surface floors vacuum carpets
- Sanitize floors carpets
- Ensure customer satisfaction with completed work
- Additional cleaning and bed making as required by patient discharge or transfer including removal of clinical support equipment soiled linen
- Specialized cleaning and support for patient isolations
- Terminal cleaning of operating emergency labor and delivery ICU and special procedures rooms and associated specialized furniture and equipment
- Assist supervisor with training new hires and in-service training with staff
- Perform patient interviews on incoming and discharging patients to inform them of expectations from the EVS department
- Follow-up on complaints and concerns made by patients family members and staff
- Perform duties of supervisor in their absence
- Adhere to the Patient Safety Goals
- Respond to emergency situations appropriately
- Demonstrate knowledge of emergency preparedness codes
- Recognize safety hazards act to protect patients self and others
- Perform other related duties as assigned
