Job Requirements

  • less than high school required
  • must be at least 21 years of age and provide a current and valid Arizona driver's license and have a motor vehicle report if driving position
  • able to follow detailed cleaning and safety protocols
  • good communication skills
  • able to perform physical tasks related to cleaning and maintenance
  • preferred 6 months experience

Job Qualifications

  • less than high school required
  • high school diploma or GED preferred
  • 6 months experience preferred
  • clean driving record preferred for positions requiring driving
  • must be at least 21 years of age and provide a current and valid Arizona driver's license and successfully complete defensive driving course for driving positions

Job Duties

  • maintains cleanliness of patient care areas following established procedures sanitation protocols and achieves satisfaction and quality standards for room and common area cleaning
  • executes checkout room cleaning per department guidelines disposes of hazardous and infectious waste in compliance with protocols
  • performs morning and evening patient room rounds inspects room removes clutter empties trash refreshes bathroom responds to patient service requests for housekeeping services and hospitality support
  • cleans common area space and waiting areas on the patient care unit stocks linen and housekeeping supplies
  • cleans and sanitizes equipment as assigned stages equipment for pickup monitors corridors and keeps free from clutter
  • participates in patient safety rounding monitors patient for signs of distress alerts nursing personnel when intervention or clinical monitoring is required
  • mixes chemicals according to directions to ensure optimum cleaning performs operation and preventative maintenance of equipment used by the department
  • performs other duties as assigned
