Job Requirements
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent experience preferred
- Ability to clean technically demanding areas such as IR, Cardiac Cath, Mother-Baby, NICU, OR, and ED
- Ability to operate light floor cleaning equipment
- Ability to lift and transport patients in emergencies
- Physical capability to reach, stand for long periods, squat, bend, and carry or lift supplies up to 35 lbs
- Ability to climb ladders
- Must wear protective equipment as required
- Valid Indiana driver's license and proof of insurance
- No prior experience required
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Ability to operate floor cleaning equipment
- Experience in healthcare environment preferred but not required
- Ability to perform technical cleaning
- Ability to lift 35 pounds or more
- Ability to follow safety and infection control protocols
- Valid Indiana driver's license and proof of insurance
Job Duties
- Clean and sanitize patient units, office areas, clinics, treatment and procedural areas, and public spaces
- Remove refuse and soiled linens
- Operate light floor cleaning equipment in patient care areas
- Perform technical cleaning in specialized areas such as IR, Cardiac Cath, Mother-Baby, NICU, OR, and ED
- Lift and transport patients in emergencies
- Climb ladders as needed
- Wear required protective equipment including gowns, gloves, goggles, and rubber-soled closed-toe footwear
