Job Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent experience preferred
  • Ability to clean technically demanding areas such as IR, Cardiac Cath, Mother-Baby, NICU, OR, and ED
  • Ability to operate light floor cleaning equipment
  • Ability to lift and transport patients in emergencies
  • Physical capability to reach, stand for long periods, squat, bend, and carry or lift supplies up to 35 lbs
  • Ability to climb ladders
  • Must wear protective equipment as required
  • Valid Indiana driver's license and proof of insurance
  • No prior experience required

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Ability to operate floor cleaning equipment
  • Experience in healthcare environment preferred but not required
  • Ability to perform technical cleaning
  • Ability to lift 35 pounds or more
  • Ability to follow safety and infection control protocols
  • Valid Indiana driver's license and proof of insurance

Job Duties

  • Clean and sanitize patient units, office areas, clinics, treatment and procedural areas, and public spaces
  • Remove refuse and soiled linens
  • Operate light floor cleaning equipment in patient care areas
  • Perform technical cleaning in specialized areas such as IR, Cardiac Cath, Mother-Baby, NICU, OR, and ED
  • Lift and transport patients in emergencies
  • Climb ladders as needed
  • Wear required protective equipment including gowns, gloves, goggles, and rubber-soled closed-toe footwear
