Job Requirements
- Knowledgeable about and follows infection control and universal precautions
- Practice general safety procedures while performing housekeeping tasks
- Appropriately uses personal protective equipment
- Completes daily assignment checklist
- Ensures waste is collected, transported, and disposed of properly
- Participates in departmental performance improvement activities
- Maintains patient and employee confidentiality
- Displays courtesy, tact, and patience with staff and community members
- Is punctual and maintains satisfactory attendance
- Uses equipment and supplies appropriately
- Observes health care system compliance policies
- Meets regulatory, licensure and annual health assessment requirements
- Identifies learning strengths and needs
- Utilizes learning resources
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum three years of housekeeping experience preferred in the health care field
- Experience with cleaning equipment including extractors, floor buffers, and stripping machine
Job Duties
- Perform routine housekeeping duties as assigned
- Conduct minor repairs as needed
- Follow infection control and universal precautions
- Use personal protective equipment appropriately
- Complete daily assignment checklist
- Collect, transport, and dispose of waste properly
- Participate in departmental performance improvement activities
- Maintain patient and employee confidentiality
- Display courtesy, tact, and patience in interactions
