Job Requirements
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
- one year prior housekeeping experience preferred
- must complete Hazardous Material Training within 90 days of hire
- maintain valid Washington State driver’s license or acceptable equivalent with military ID
- current personal auto insurance and insurable with District’s insurance carrier
- provide Washington State driving record upon hire subject to annual checks
- ability to work weekend and holiday rotations
- valid driver’s license and vehicle insurance required

Job Duties
- Performs general housekeeping duties including cleaning patient rooms, ancillary areas, public areas, elevators, stairs, and assigned equipment
- removes trash, soiled linen, recycling, and cardboard from all areas
- manages removal of infectious waste to outside storage
- maintains floors through stripping, waxing, scrubbing, buffing, and carpet care
- cleans lights, vents, walls, inside screens, and windows
- performs minor preventative maintenance on Environmental Services equipment
- keeps corridors free of furniture and adheres to fire codes
- moves furniture, equipment, records, and files as requested
- maintains hospital grounds including snow and ice removal and garbage pickup
- responds timely to calls including Airlift Northwest arrivals and escorts
- assists with patient transports accompanied by clinical staff
- responds to code calls except Rapid Response and Code Blue
- supports hospital Fire Team during Code Red calls
- provides security support when needed
- completes and prioritizes work requests within guidelines
- operates district-owned vehicles when required
- maintains positive communications with patients, family members, staff, and others
- greets patients, guests, staff, physicians, and vendors with friendliness and professionalism
- communicates effectively with different age groups
