Job Requirements
- High school grad or equiv
- Complete initial and refresher training on hazardous waste handling
- Follow hospital exposure control and safety protocols
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Ability to lift and transport trash carts
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to work flexible shifts
Job Qualifications

- Ability to follow safety protocols and hospital policies
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
- Experience in cleaning or janitorial roles preferred
- Basic understanding of hazardous waste handling

- Ability to work day or night shifts
Job Duties
- Perform daily cleaning using the 10 step process of patient rooms, ancillary areas, restrooms, offices, public areas and corridor
- Provide supplies to mentioned areas as appropriate
- Coordinate, supervise and maintain areas of responsibility to high standards set by the department and AdventHealth
- Adhere to all policies and procedures set by the department
- Actively participate in outstanding customer service and maintain respectful relationships
- Transport hazardous waste from generation point to secure storage following all safety protocols
- Attend all required safety training programs and identify job-related hazards
- Relines trash containers as needed
- Responds to requests for special trash pickups
- Follow hospital exposure control and pathogen safety guidelines
- Promote effective working relations within and across departments
- Transport trash carts from collection points to designated areas
