Job Requirements
- At least 1 year of janitorial experience preferred
- Ability to pass background and drug screening
- Physical ability to perform labor-intensive tasks
- Ability to follow safety guidelines
- Willingness to work flexible hours if needed
- Basic literacy to follow written instructions
- Commitment to maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards
Job Qualifications
- Janitorial experience preferred
- Ability to follow instructions and safety procedures
- Ability to handle physical labor and lift heavy items

- Basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals and equipment
- Reliable and punctual
- Ability to work independently and in a team
Job Duties
- Charged with the duties of maintaining the overall cleanliness and sanitation of the facility
- May be assigned to maintain a specific department, wing or section of the facility
- Clean facility floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing and vacuuming them
- Strip, seal and polish floors, as directed
- Steam clean and shampoo carpet
- Gather and empty trash
- Clean windows, glass partitions and mirrors, using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges and squeegees
- Dust furniture, walls, machines and equipment
- May assist with cleaning and polishing furniture and fixtures
- Mix water and detergents in containers to prepare cleaning solutions, according to specifications
- Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment, in order to prevent damage to floors and fixtures
- Notify managers concerning the need for major repairs
- Requisition supplies and equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties
- May assist with the set-up, arrangement and removal of decorations, tables, chairs, and ladders to prepare facility for events
- May assist with the moving of heavy furniture, equipment and supplies, either manually or using a hand truck
- Maybe required to perform other duties as assigned
- Must be able to pass background and drug screening
