- previous experience with healthcare housekeeping or environmental services preferred
- knowledge of infection control standards
- ability to follow facility cleaning procedures
- attention to detail
Job Duties
- Sweeps, damp mops, and wet mops tile floors
- vacuums carpeted rooms
- empties trash cans, cleans and replaces liners
- cleans bathroom sinks, fixtures, and toilets
- cleans glass surfaces such as mirrors, pictures, and windows
- cleans behind and underneath furnishings
- follows infection control standards while performing cleaning
- prevents and removes wax and dirt buildup
- changes and re-hangs soiled privacy curtains and draperies
- dusts and damp cleans surfaces in patient and resident rooms
- moves furniture to clean behind and underneath
- turns bed mattresses after cleaning
