Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- ability to perform physical tasks such as mopping, reaching, bending, and operating floor equipment
- ability to meet Department of Labor's Heavy Duty Standard
- capability to wear appropriate personal protective equipment for extended periods
- availability to work evening shifts
- ability to follow safety and sanitation guidelines
- tolerance for frequent exposure to communicable diseases and cleaning chemicals
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- demonstrated ability to follow written work assignments
- ability to work tactfully and harmoniously with guests
- understanding of assigned areas, necessary supplies and equipment
- capability to comply with specialty accreditation training if required
- ability to meet physical demands of the role
Job Duties
- Inspects and ensures that all assigned areas are properly cleaned and in good repair
- report problems to the supervisor
- cleans all assigned areas including patient rooms, exam rooms, public areas, toilets, procedure rooms, OR rooms, offices and equipment following established procedures
- removes trash from all assigned areas
- replenishes paper towels, toilet paper, and soap in all assigned locations
- makes beds in patient discharge rooms and on-call rooms following cleaning procedures
- maintains assigned equipment in clean, working condition and reports issues to the supervisor
- moves equipment, furniture, boxes, washes walls, spots carpets as assigned
- follows all safety and sanitation regulations
