Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred
- Ability to lift in excess of 50 lbs
- Strong attention to detail and physical stamina
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally
- Willingness to participate in scheduled training and drills
- Adherence to confidentiality and privacy regulations
- Reliable and punctual attendance
Job Qualifications
- Basic housekeeping skills
- Comfortable interacting with residents, family members, and staff
- Proactive problem-solving and thinking based on resident needs
- Ability to work efficiently and complete assigned tasks
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safety procedures
- Understanding of compliance, HIPAA, and ethics
- Ability to follow fire evacuation and disaster policies
Job Duties
- Establish standards of cleanliness for resident rooms and common areas according to schedule
- Clean resident rooms including making beds, vacuuming, cleaning bathrooms and kitchens
- Dust, vacuum and mop all common areas routinely and as needed
- Empty all trash receptacles and ashtrays, take gathered trash to dumpsters
- Keep all public restrooms clean and stocked
- Handle cleaning chemicals safely according to manufacturer instructions
- Maintain utility, storage, and laundry rooms in an orderly condition
- Perform minor maintenance including changing light bulbs, unclogging toilets and cleaning air conditioner filters
- Participate in fire and disaster drills and comply with all regulatory training
- Maintain confidentiality and report any abuse or neglect allegations
