Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- some cleaning experience preferred
- ability to speak fluent English
- ability to read, write, and understand simple instructions in English
- satisfactory completion of departmental training program within 30 days of employment
- ability to use personal protective equipment properly
- ability to perform physical tasks including lifting

- some cleaning or environmental services experience preferred
- ability to speak, read, write, and understand simple English instructions
- ability to complete departmental training program within first 30 days of employment
- knowledge of infection control and safety protocols preferred
- good customer service and interpersonal skills required
Job Duties
- Perform the full range of restroom and patient room cleaning, follow infection prevention protocols and select proper cleaning chemicals, maintain walls, doors, windows, furniture, equipment, and floors, properly remove and dispose of trash and linen according to waste type, use correct personal protective equipment and safe lifting techniques, comply with hospital and department policies and procedures, operate Ultra Violet Light equipment safely, place proper liners in waste containers and secure them, exhibit positive customer service and interpersonal skills, support staff members, patients, and visitors, participate in teamwork and special projects, document daily assignments and use Epic system to maintain patient flow
