Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Some experience preferred
- Ability to speak fluent English
- Ability to read, write and understand simple instructions in English
- Completion of Departmental Training Program within first 30 days
- Ability to use personal protective equipment safely
- Ability to handle specialized cleaning equipment such as Ultra Violet Light devices
- Physical ability to perform cleaning duties including lifting and standing for extended periods
Job Qualifications

- Some cleaning or environmental services experience preferred
- Ability to follow detailed cleaning protocols
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Job Duties
- Perform the full range of restroom cleaning and complete patient room cleaning following protocols
- Follow infection prevention protocols and select proper cleaning chemicals
- Maintain walls, doors, glass, furniture, equipment, and floors including dust mopping and wet mopping
- Properly remove trash and linen following waste stream guidelines
- Consistently use appropriate personal protective equipment and safe lifting techniques
- Comply with all hospital and department policies and procedures
- Use and follow protocol for Ultra Violet Light equipment
- Greet and support staff members, patients, and visitors with a positive attitude
- Participate in team projects and performance improvement initiatives
- Document daily assignments and adjust coverage as needed
- Use Epic system for bed and patient flow management
