Job Duties
- perform the full range of restroom cleaning and complete patient room cleaning following cleaning protocols
- follow infection prevention protocols and select proper chemicals for cleaning tasks
- maintain routine cleaning tasks including walls, doors, glass, furniture, equipment, and floors
- properly remove trash and linen according to waste guidelines and protocols
- consistently use correct personal protective equipment and donning and doffing techniques
- use proper lifting techniques to avoid injury
- comply with all hospital and department rules, policies, and procedures
- follow protocol for safe use of Ultra Violet Light equipment
- place proper liners in waste containers and complete proper tie off as required
- work with special project teams and participate in performance improvement projects
- exhibit positive disposition when greeting and supporting staff, patients, and visitors
- practice great customer service and interpersonal skills with all stakeholders
- document daily assignments and adjust to staff shortages
- use Epic system to maintain productive flow of beds and patients and log in and out as required
