Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Some experience preferred
- Ability to speak fluent English
- Ability to read, write and understand simple instructions in English
- Completion of departmental training program within 30 days
- All required certifications upon hire
- Ability to use personal protective equipment properly
- Ability to follow safety and infection prevention protocols

- Demonstrated customer service and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of infection prevention protocols
- Ability to safely operate cleaning and UV light equipment
Job Duties
- Perform restroom cleaning and complete patient room cleaning following specified protocols
- Follow infection prevention protocols and select appropriate cleaning chemicals
- Maintain cleanliness of walls, doors, windows, furniture, equipment, and floors
- Properly remove trash and linen ensuring compliance with waste stream guidelines
- Consistently use personal protective equipment and proper lifting techniques
- Comply with hospital and department policies
- Safely use Ultra Violet Light equipment
- Place replacement liners in waste containers and properly tie off
- Greet and support staff, patients, and visitors with a positive attitude
- Practice world class customer service and interpersonal skills
- Work with special project teams and participate in performance improvement projects
- Document daily completed assignments
- Adjust to staff shortages and cover other areas as needed
- Use Epic system to maintain bed and patient flow
- Perform other assigned duties
- Comply with Wellstar policies and code of conduct
