Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Some prior experience preferred
- Fluent in English with ability to read, write, and understand instructions
- Successful completion of departmental training program within 30 days
- Ability to follow infection prevention guidelines and use PPE
- Capable of handling physical demands including proper lifting techniques
- Availability to work full-time night shift from 11 p.m. to 7:30 a.m.
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Some experience in environmental services or related field preferred
- Ability to read, write, and understand simple instructions in English
- Completion of departmental training program within 30 days of employment
- Knowledge of infection prevention and cleaning protocols
- Ability to operate specialized cleaning equipment
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
Job Duties
- Perform regular, terminal, and isolation cleaning according to protocols
- Properly remove, place, and transport different types of waste including solid, chemotherapy, bio-hazard, pharmaceutical, and recyclable materials
- Utilize Ultra Violet Light devices correctly for disinfection
- Replace and manage waste containers including sharps, pharmacy waste, bio-hazard, and chemotherapy containers
- Maintain cleanliness of restrooms, patient rooms, walls, doors, windows, furniture, equipment, and floors with appropriate techniques
- Follow infection prevention protocols and use correct personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Provide excellent customer service and maintain positive interactions with staff, patients, and visitors
