Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Some experience preferred
- Ability to speak fluent English and comprehend written instructions
- Must complete departmental training program within first 30 days
- Capable of wearing personal protective equipment
- Ability to work day shift including every other weekend
- Physical ability to perform cleaning duties safely and effectively

- Good customer service and interpersonal skills
- Ability to follow infection control and safety protocols
Job Duties
- Perform the full range of restroom and patient room cleaning following specific protocols
- Follow infection prevention protocols and select proper cleaning chemicals
- Maintain walls, doors, windows, furniture, equipment, and floors including dusting and mopping
- Properly remove and handle waste streams including solid, bio-hazard, chemotherapy, and pharmaceutical waste
- Consistently use correct personal protective equipment and proper lifting techniques
- Follow all hospital and department policies and safety procedures including the use of Ultra Violet Light devices
- Greet and support staff, patients, and visitors with a positive attitude and excellent customer service
- Participate in special projects and performance improvement initiatives
- Document daily assignments and use Epic system to support patient flow
- Perform other duties as assigned
