Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Some experience preferred
- Ability to speak fluent English
- Ability to read, write and understand simple instructions in English
- Completion of the Departmental Training Program within the first 30 days of employment
- Compliance with all safety and infection prevention guidelines
- Ability to use personal protective equipment correctly
- Willingness to work full-time evening shifts
- Ability to handle physical demands such as lifting and standing for extended periods

- Competence in using cleaning chemicals and equipment
- Basic proficiency with hospital documentation systems
- Ability to work evening shifts and as part of a team
Job Duties
- Perform the full range of restroom cleaning and complete patient room cleaning following established protocols
- Follow infection prevention protocols and select appropriate chemicals for cleaning tasks
- Conduct routine cleaning of walls, doors, glass/windows, furniture, equipment, and floors including dust mopping and wet mopping
- Properly remove trash and linen, ensuring waste streams guidelines are followed for various waste types
- Consistently use correct personal protective equipment (PPE) and practice donning and doffing techniques
- Safely use Ultra Violet Light equipment according to protocol
- Exhibit positive customer service skills when interacting with staff, patients, and visitors
- Participate in special projects and performance improvement initiatives as assigned
- Document daily completed assignments and adjust to staff shortages as necessary
- Use Epic system to support efficient bed and patient flow
- Comply with all Wellstar Health System policies, standards of work, and code of conduct
