Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • able to communicate and interface effectively with hospital staff, patients, and visitors
  • able to follow written and verbal instructions and communicate by telephone
  • able to stand and walk throughout the day
  • must be able to lift up to 50lb
  • able to work evening shifts Monday to Friday with every other weekend
  • willingness to handle blood and bodily fluids using personal protective equipment
  • ability to stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, and twist frequently

Job Qualifications

  • knowledge of safety standards and cleaning chemicals
  • able to lift up to 50 pounds
  • ability to stand and walk throughout the shift

Job Duties

  • clean and disinfect hospital areas to maximize infection prevention
  • prepare patient rooms by replenishing supplies, cleaning floors, and making beds
  • collect, store, and dispose of medical-related waste from patient treatment areas
  • perform project work such as cleaning carpets and refrigerators
  • maintain knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safety standards
  • communicate effectively with staff, patients, and visitors
  • comply with safety protocols and use personal protective equipment as required
