Job Requirements
- Able to communicate and interface effectively with hospital staff, patients, and visitors
- high school diploma or equivalent preferred
- able to follow written and verbal instructions
- able to communicate by telephone
- able to initiate communication with peers about priorities
- able to stand and walk throughout the day
- must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- comfortable working around blood and bodily fluids with personal protective equipment
- willing to stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, and twist frequently
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- ability to communicate effectively in person and by telephone
- knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safety practices
- ability to work evening shifts including every other weekend
- ability to work well independently and as part of a team
- ability to safely handle exposure to blood and bodily fluids with personal protective equipment
Job Duties
- Clean and disinfect hospital areas to prevent infection
- prepare patient rooms by replenishing supplies and making beds
- collect, store, and dispose of medical-related waste safely
- perform project tasks such as carpet and refrigerator cleaning
- maintain confidentiality and comply with safety standards
- communicate effectively with hospital staff, patients, and visitors
- follow written and verbal instructions and prioritize tasks
