Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to understand and communicate in English both verbally and in writing
  • Willingness to perform routine, repetitive tasks on a continual basis
  • Ability to accept supervision from multiple persons
  • Ability to perform tasks despite frequent interruptions
  • Physical ability to stand and walk continuously
  • Ability to bend, stoop, crouch, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to reach high and low areas for cleaning
  • Ability to communicate verbally with co-workers, patients, and visitors
  • Ability to use cleaning equipment and tools safely
  • Adherence to safety policies and procedures

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Cleaning and servicing assigned hospital areas including patient rooms and non-patient areas
  • Sweeping, mopping, dusting, and disinfecting all hospital rooms
  • Participating in project work such as wall washing, window washing, and light fixture cleaning
  • Changing cubicle curtains and drapes as needed
  • Cleaning vents, scrubbing restrooms, floor stripping, and carpet extracting
  • Reporting unsafe working conditions or hazards to management
  • Following safety policies and procedures to maintain a clean and safe environment
