Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to understand and communicate in English
- Ability to follow written and oral instructions
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including standing, bending, lifting, carrying, balancing, twisting, crouching, kneeling, and reaching
- Willingness to perform routine and repetitive tasks
- Capacity to work under supervision and manage interruptions
- Ability to interact professionally with patients, staff, and visitors
- No prior experience required
- Must complete 1-3 months of training
- Must comply with safety policies and procedures
- Report unsafe working conditions
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally
- Ability to use cleaning tools and equipment safely
Job Qualifications
- Ability to understand and communicate in English verbally and in writing
- Ability to follow written and oral instructions and record completed assignments
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous cleaning or housekeeping experience not required
- Completion of 1-3 months of training
- No licensure, registration or certification required
- Physical ability to stand and walk continuously
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Competence in manual dexterity tasks involved in cleaning
- Effective verbal communication skills with patients, coworkers, and visitors
Job Duties
- Perform sweeping, mopping, dusting, and disinfecting rooms
- Participate in cleaning projects such as wall and window washing, upholstery cleaning, and changing cubicle curtains
- Scrub restrooms and maintain floors through stripping and carpet extracting
- Handle trash removal and manage cleaning supplies and equipment
- Maintain a professional demeanor while interacting with patients, families, and coworkers
- Adhere strictly to safety and infection control protocols
- Report unsafe conditions and hazards promptly
