Job Requirements
- Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English
- Demonstrated ability in basic cleaning skills
- Experience in safe handling and removal of medical and hazardous waste
- Knowledge of infection control and cleaning techniques
- Ability to work in a healthcare environment
- Physical ability to perform cleaning tasks
- Availability to work full-time hours
Job Qualifications
- Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English
- High school diploma or equivalent experience preferred
- One year of previous institutional cleaning experience preferred
- One year of customer service experience preferred
- Vocational training and certification preferred
Job Duties
- Perform housekeeping and cleaning activities in patient exam rooms, inpatient rooms, and surgery areas
- Use chemicals, equipment, and cleaning techniques safely and effectively
- Follow infection control methods to maintain department quality standards
- Handle and dispose of medical and hazardous waste safely
- Maintain the hospital environment at the highest level of cleanliness and safety
- Demonstrate proficiency in basic cleaning skills in patient, staff, office, clinic, and visitor areas
- Communicate effectively in English both verbally and in writing
