Job Requirements
- high school education desirable
- experience in commercial or institutional cleaning preferred
- ability to lift heavy equipment safely
- ability to follow detailed written instructions and chemical labels
- availability to work Monday through Friday 7 am to 3:30 pm with occasional Saturdays
- willingness to work overtime when necessary
- commitment to diversity and inclusiveness goals
Job Qualifications
- high school education desirable
- general knowledge of routine housekeeping
- experience with commercial or institutional cleaning preferred
- ability to understand and follow safety instructions
- physical ability to lift 15-30 pounds
- effective communication skills
- ability to work independently and as part of a team
Job Duties
- perform general cleaning of assigned campus buildings
- assist with event set-ups on campus
- operate and lift heavy cleaning equipment such as vacuum cleaners and floor buffers
- understand and follow written cleaning instructions and chemical safety labels
- maintain cleanliness and safety standards in custodial areas
- collaborate with team members to complete tasks efficiently
- report maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly
