Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum one year experience in environmental services preferred
  • availability to work full-time evening shifts
  • physical ability to perform cleaning and maintenance duties
  • adherence to hospital policies and safety guidelines
  • ability to handle cleaning chemicals safely
  • completion of assigned tasks in a timely manner

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • one year of environmental services experience preferred
  • ability to follow hospital cleaning protocols and procedures
  • attention to detail and thoroughness in cleaning tasks
  • good communication skills
  • ability to work evening shifts and rotate weekends and holidays
  • capability to work independently and as part of a team

Job Duties

  • Clean and maintain assigned hospital areas in a neat, sanitary, and attractive condition according to established policies and procedures
  • use proper equipment, cleaning materials, supplies, and cleaning solutions according to procedure
  • complete daily cleaning checklists and submit to the Director or crew leader at the end of the shift
  • sweep, damp mop, and wax floors
  • vacuum rugs, carpets, upholstery, and draperies
  • dust furniture, wash walls, equipment, and high-touch areas according to departmental policies
