Job Requirements
- One year of experience in related area of assignment
- Or one year of experience at the lower level Housekeeper 1
- Ability to operate hand tools and power cleaning equipment
- Compliance with drug screening
- TB evaluation
- Annual influenza vaccination or approved exemption
- Willingness to pass national and state background checks
- Ability to observe safety precautions in handling contaminated materials
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One year of experience in related area of assignment
- Experience operating hand tools and power cleaning equipment
- Ability to follow safety protocols
- Basic skills in laundering and mending linens
- Good organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Job Duties
- Maintains order, sanitation and cleanliness in facilities
- Maintains supplies as needed
- Cleans and straightens assigned areas
- Collects, sorts, launders, transports and distributes linens and uniforms
- Ensures laundry, housekeeping and floor equipment is in good working condition
- May mend linens and assist in preventative maintenance and repair
- Observes required safety precautions in disposing of contaminated refuse
- Operates hand tools and power cleaning equipment
- Participates in making, marking, altering and mending of clothing, linens, and other items
- Presses and store all linens
