Job Requirements

One year of experience in related area of assignment
Successful completion of drug screening
TB evaluation
Annual influenza vaccination unless exempt
Ability to operate hand tools and power cleaning equipment
National and state background check
Compliance with safety and sanitary standards
Ability to mend linens and perform minor repairs

Job Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
One year of experience in housekeeping or related field
Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies
Ability to operate cleaning and laundry equipment
Basic maintenance skills
Ability to follow safety protocols
Good communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Job Duties

Perform various duties to maintain order, sanitation and cleanliness in facilities under general supervision
Maintain supplies as needed
Clean and straighten assigned areas
Collect, sort, launder, transport and distribute linens and uniforms
Ensure laundry, housekeeping and floor equipment is in good working condition
Maintain and stock equipment and supplies as needed
Mend linens and assist in preventative maintenance and repair
Observe required safety precautions in disposing of contaminated refuse
Operate hand tools and power cleaning equipment
Participate in making, marking, altering and mending of clothing, linens, and other items
Press and store all linens
