Job Requirements

  • availability to work every other weekend with rest days off during the week
  • ability to attend mandatory housekeeping department meetings and community in-services
  • ability to read and write with clarity

  • ability to use PPE and chemicals safely

  • wear appropriate uniform and nametag

Job Qualifications

  • must be a high school graduate
  • must work every other weekend with rest days off during the week
  • must attend all mandatory housekeeping department meetings and required community in-services
  • must be able to read and write with clarity sufficient to follow instructions
  • must follow cleaning schedules, policies, and procedures as outlined in the housekeeping manual
  • must use PPE and chemicals safely as described in SDS
  • must be kind and respectful to residents, personnel, visitors, and supervisors
  • must demonstrate neat appearance and good personal hygiene
  • must wear appropriate uniform and nametag

Job Duties

  • follow cleaning guidelines and proper product usage
  • clean assigned common spaces daily
  • clean apartments as assigned using the standard weekly and annual service listing
  • empty trash containers in resident kitchen and bathrooms and replace liners
  • dust, mop and/or vacuum all unit floors including bathrooms
  • clean bathrooms including floors, countertops, commodes, lavatories, showers, and mirrors
  • change bed linen and make beds (two beds maximum)
  • clean bedrooms including floors and dusting visible furniture
  • clean living room floors and dust visible furniture
  • clean kitchen including visible countertops, sinks, inside microwave, floors
  • clean blinds, windows, baseboards, and ceiling fans per schedule
  • wear gloves and wash hands between each unit
  • use clean microfiber mop heads and towels for each unit
  • dust, mop, and vacuum lobby and other assigned areas
  • follow guidelines for emptying and removing trash
  • stock soap and paper products in common areas as needed
  • clean housekeeping cart and maintain cleaning equipment
  • perform other duties as assigned
