- experience in institutional housekeeping or maintenance
- ability to operate floor-care equipment
- ability to read, write, and speak English
- ability to follow safety procedures
- ability to work full time

- ability to perform physical cleaning tasks

Job Duties
- clean and sanitize patient rooms, bathrooms, and common areas daily and according to facility protocols
- use proper chemicals in correct proportions
- dust mop, wet mop, or spot-mop floors
- empty trash containers and replace liners as needed
- vacuum carpets as directed by supervisor
- use proper chemicals and equipment to wash and dry windows
- report repair needs to supervisor or maintenance department
- request needed supplies and equipment from supervisor
- identify and correct safety hazards and follow safety rules
- review and enforce abuse prevention policies
- attend weekly in-services and comply with patient care management systems
- ensure patient and resident safety
- perform other assigned duties
