Job Requirements
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent experience preferred
- no previous experience required
- must be able to wear protective equipment and clothing required by the environment or government regulations such as gowns, gloves, goggles, rubber-soled closed-toe footwear
- physical requirements to include reaching, standing for long periods of time, squatting, bending, carrying and/or lifting supplies and equipment weighing 35 lbs or more, up to 80% of the time
- requires the ability to operate light floor equipment for cleaning floors in patient care areas
- requires the ability to climb ladders
- requires the ability to clean areas that require technical cleaning including IR, Cardiac Cath, Mother-Baby, NICU, OR, ED

Job Duties
- Provides cleaning and sanitizing services to support a safe, clean and welcoming environment
- cleans and sanitizes patient rooms, offices, clinics, clinical and procedural areas, and public spaces
- supports patient safety through consistent and high-quality service
- demonstrates ability to support the cleaning and disinfection of high-acuity clinical and procedural areas
- applies disinfection protocols and utilizes approved cleaning tools in accordance with infection control standards and hospital policy
- conducts hazardous and biohazardous waste removal in compliance with safety regulations and infection prevention protocols
- proactively communicates and collaborates with clinical teams to ensure cleaning processes support patient safety and care flow
